CD13 regulates dendritic cell cross-presentation and t cell responses by inhibiting receptor-mediated antigen uptake (106.16)

The Journal of Immunology, 2012
Abstract Dendritic cell (DC) antigen cross-presentation is generally associated with immune responses to tumors and viral antigens and enhancing this process is a focus of tumor vaccine design. In this study, we found that the myeloid cell surface peptidase CD13 is highly and specifically expressed on the subset of DCs responsible for ...

CD13 as a potential theranostic target for prostate-specific membrane antigen-negative prostate cancer and first-in-human study of [18F]AlF-CD13-L1 PET/CT imaging

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging
Approximately 10% of prostate cancer (PCa) are prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-negative, leading to blind spots in PSMA-based diagnosis. This study aimed to identify a potential target for PSMA-negative PCa and preliminarily evaluate the feasibility of using radionuclide probe targeting the identified target for PCa diagnosis.Quantitative ...

Further investigations on the expression of HLA‐DR, CD33 and CD13 surface antigens in purified bone marrow and peripheral blood CD34± haematopoietic progenitor cells

British Journal of Haematology, 1993
Summary. We evaluated the HLA‐DR, CD33 and CD13 antigen expression on CD34± haematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC) isolated from the bone marrow (BM) and peripheral blood (PB) of normal donors. The majority of both BM and PB CD34± HPC expressed CD13 and HLA‐DR. The coexpression of CD34 and CD33 was found in a minor CD34± subset. After 7 d of culture in

B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia expressing CD13 antigen.

International journal of hematology, 1994
Although the expression of myeloid-associated antigen CD13 has been reported in aggressive B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, its expression in other mature B-cell neoplasms appears to be rare. We report a 74-year-old female with B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (B-PLL) expressing CD13 antigen. On admission, splenomegaly was noted.

Surface and cytoplasmic expression of CD2, CD13, and CD25 antigens in human T lymphotropic virus type I infected cell line. An immunoelectron microscopic study.

Laboratory investigation; a journal of technical methods and pathology, 1989
Immunoperoxidase electron microscopy revealed intracellular expression of CD2, CD13, and CD25 antigens in a unique human T lymphotropic virus type I infected cell line, TI-CL. This cell line is thought to be derived from cord mononuclear cells in the bifurcation stage of T cell and myelomonocytic lineage, based on cytochemical, immunologic, and ...

Frequent expression of myeloid antigen (CD13) on immature T cells in culture.

Nihon Ketsueki Gakkai zasshi : journal of Japan Haematological Society, 1990
Leukemic cells from 12 patients with lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL) and T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) were studied to determine the inducibility of myeloid antigens in culture in the presence and absence of 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) in association with discrete phenotypic and genotypic analyses on these cells.

The Expression of Peptidase Antigens, CD10/Neutral Endopeptidase, CD13/Aminopeptidase N, and CD26/Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV in Human Endometrium

1994
Peptidase enzymes are known to be widely distributed in plasma and tissues. As such, they are considered to play important roles in the local regulation of biologically active peptides, including peptide hormones, growth factors, and cytokines. In the uterine endometrium, it has been suggested that some peptidase enzymes in the endometrial epithelium ...

Biochemical and functional characterization of MCS-2 antigen (CD13) on myeloid leukemic cells and polymorphonuclear leukocytes.

Cancer research, 1987
The antigen defined by MCS-2 monoclonal antibody (mAb) was characterized by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of surface and internally labeled cells. Surface iodination revealed that MCS-2 antigen on the surfaces of acute myelogenous leukemia cells, HL-60 cells, and polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) had the same molecular ...

c-kit gene expression in CD7-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia: close correlation with expression of myeloid-associated antigen CD13.

Leukemia, 1992
Expression of human c-kit proto-oncogene and interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7R) in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cells expressing CD7 was examined by Northern-blot analysis and reversed transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay in relation to the phenotypes.

A mini-review of CD13 antigen in AML: easy induction or enhancement of expression in in vitro culture and necessary consideration for assessment.

The Southeast Asian journal of tropical medicine and public health, 2003
CD13 is a pan-(MPO-positive) AML antigen, while it is expressed in some B-lineage neoplasms (ALL and PLL) and in T-linaege neoplasms at pro-thymic stage. Some reports have described the lack of this antigen in MPO-positive AML, and tried to regard such MPO-postive AML cases as an clinical entity.
