Increased CD112 Expression in Methylcholanthrene-Induced Tumors in CD155-Deficient Mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Tumor recognition by immune effector cells is mediated by antigen receptors and a variety of adhesion and costimulatory molecules. The evidence accumulated since the identification of CD155 and CD112 as ligands for DNAM-1 in humans and mice has suggested

Confined B‐Cell Reconstruction and High T‐Cell Clonality Define Clinical Response to Cladribine Treatment

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Cladribine tablets are approved for relapsing multiple sclerosis, mediating their clinical effect by moderately depleting lymphocytes. In a prospective, monocentric study including 22 patients completing 2 annual cycles of cladribine, B‐ and T‐cell receptor repertoires and relapse activity were assessed at baseline and after 24 months. T‐cell clonality

TIGIT can inhibit T cell activation via ligation-induced nanoclusters, independent of CD226 co-stimulation

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
TIGIT is an inhibitory receptor expressed on lymphocytes and can inhibit T cells by preventing CD226 co-stimulation through interactions in cis or through competition of shared ligands. Whether TIGIT directly delivers cell-intrinsic inhibitory signals in

Napabucasin transforms liver microenvironment and boosts immunotherapy efficacy by converting potential metastases into “hot” tumors

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Napabucasin reduces liver metastases by reprogramming the hepatic microenvironment. It induces hepatocyte secretion of CCL21 via c‐Fos activation, recruiting lymphocytes and converting “cold” metastases into immunologically “hot” tumors. This effect is liver‐specific and independent of cancer cells.

Examination of the TIGIT, CD226, CD112, and CD155 Immune Checkpoint Molecules in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells in Women Diagnosed with Early-Onset Preeclampsia

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2021
Early-onset preeclampsia is a common obstetrical disease with a potential genetic background and is characterized by the predominance of Th1 immune response.

Type I and II Interferons Drive Abacavir Hypersensitivity via Treg Suppression and T‐Cell Enhancement in Immunocompetent HLA‐Transgenic Mice

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Upregulated HLA‐B*57:01 expression in Tg/KO mice amplifies abacavir‐specific CD8+ T‐cell activation, driven by enhanced antigen presentation. Abacavir treatment induces robust pDC expansion and IFN‐α production, which selectively suppresses memory Treg populations.

Recombinant oncolytic adenovirus expressing a soluble PVR elicits long-term antitumor immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Oncolytics, 2021
Oncolytic virotherapy (OVT) has been suggested to be effective. However, the suppressive effects of checkpoints and insufficient costimulatory signals limit OVT-induced antitumor immune responses.

DNAM-1 controls NK cell activation via an ITT-like motif [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
DNAM-1 (CD226) is an activating receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, CD8(+) T cells, and other immune cells. Upon recognition of its ligands, CD155 and CD112, DNAM-1 promotes NK cell–mediated elimination of transformed and virus-infected ...

Ligand‐specific tuning of CLEC10A signalling strength and dendritic cell responses through engagement of different GalNAc‐containing glycan structures

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The authors investigated the effects of various glycan ligands for CLEC10A, a lectin receptor expressed on dendritic cells (DCs). Monocyte‐derived DCs were stimulated with glycan‐conjugated dendrimers in combination with the TLR1/2 ligand Pam3CysK4, and responses were investigated at the mRNA and protein level.

In Vivo Generation of Engraftable Murine Hematopoietic Stem Cells by Gfi1b, c-Fos, and Gata2 Overexpression within Teratoma. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Generation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) from pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) could potentially provide unlimited HSCs for clinical transplantation, a curative treatment for numerous blood diseases.
