A functional gammadeltaTCR/CD3 complex distinct from gammadeltaT cells is expressed by human eosinophils. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2009
BACKGROUND:Eosinophils are effector cells during parasitic infections and allergic responses. However, their contribution to innate immunity has been only recently unravelled. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS:Here we show that human eosinophils express CD3

Specific transcriptional programs differentiate ICOS from CD28 costimulatory signaling in human Naïve CD4+ T cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
Costimulatory molecules of the CD28 family play a crucial role in the activation of immune responses in T lymphocytes, complementing and modulating signals originating from the T-cell receptor (TCR) complex.

CD3D Is an Independent Prognostic Factor and Correlates With Immune Infiltration in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2022
The protein encoded by CD3D is part of the T-cell receptor/CD3 complex (TCR/CD3 complex) and is involved in T-cell development and signal transduction.

The transmembrane orientation of the ϵ chain of the TcR/CD3 complex

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, 1988
AbstractThe antigen receptor of the T lymphocytes is one of the most complex eukaryotic membrane structures studied to date. The T cell receptor (TcR) consists of two disulfide‐linked glycoprotein chains (α/βor γ/δ) and is noncovalently associated with a group of small and invariable CD 3 proteins.

After Experimental Trypanosoma cruzi Infection, Dying Hepatic CD3+TCRαβ+B220+ T Lymphocytes Are Rescued from Death by Peripheral T Cells and Become Activated

open access: yesPathogens, 2020
The unusual phenotype of CD3+ T lymphocyte expressing B220, a marker originally attributed to B lymphocytes, was first observed in the liver of Fas/Fas-L-deficient mice as a marker of apoptotic T lymphocytes.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Distinct HIV-1 Population Structure across Meningeal and Peripheral T Cells and Macrophage Lineage Cells

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2022
HIV-1 sequence population structure among brain and nonbrain cellular compartments is incompletely understood. Here, we compared proviral pol and env high-quality consensus single-molecule real-time (SMRT) sequences derived from CD3+ T cells and CD14 ...

Potent antitumor activity of a bispecific T-cell engager antibody targeting the intracellular antigen KRAS G12V

open access: yesBiomolecules & Biomedicine
Kirsten Rat Sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (KRAS) is one of the most frequent oncogenes. However, there are limited treatment options due to its intracellular expression.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
