SummaryBackgroundFor certain HLA allele‐associated drug hypersensitivity reactions, the parent drug has been shown to associate directly with the risk allele. In other forms of hypersensitivity, HLA risk alleles have not been identified and T cells are activated in an allele unrestricted manner.

Introduction: CD4-positive T lymphocytes (CD4 cells) play a significant role in human abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). However, we know little about the role of the different CD4 subtypes. Objective: We aimed to discover the circulatory CD4 phenotypic marker profile and the ...

Quantification of CD4-positive T lymphocytes
1995Abstract Introduction The central lesion in HIV-induced immunodeficiency is the functional and numerical decrease in the CD4-positive population of T lymphocytes. Progressive loss of this key lymphoid population is associated with an increasing range and severity of cellular immunodeficiency and predisposition to ...

The phenotypic characteristics of human T lymphocytes expressing the C3b/C4b complement receptor type one (CR1, CD35) were investigated using dual-color surface immunofluorescence and cytofluorometric analysis of stained peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from normal individuals.

Abstract Abstract 4862 Autologous activated CD4+ T lymphocytes (CD4+/CCR5+ double positive cells) in BMNC of 29 MDS patients were depleted or plused in in vitro cultures. That cultures with removed CD4+/CCR5+ cells exhibited significantly increased CFU generation.

Human T-lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I)-associated myelopathy (HAM) is characterized by chronic inflammation of the spinal cord. The exact mechanisms that enhance the development of chronic myelopathy remain to be determined. One such mechanism could be an altered response of peripheral blood CD4(+) T lymphocytes to apoptotic stimuli.

To explore the clinicopathological correlation between CD4(+) T lymphocyte count and superficial lymphadenopathy HIV/AIDS patients.A total of 1066 HIV/AIDS patients were included in this study. The incidence of superficial lymphadenopathy, peripheral blood CD4(+) T lymphocyte counts and histological features of superficial lymphadenopathy were analyzed.

Abstract After initiation of a treatment for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 infection containing a protease inhibitor, immune restoration associated with increases in CD4-positive (CD4+) T lymphocyte count may be delayed. In a sample of patients who had been prescribed protease inhibitors for the first time, the authors tested to ...

The mouse strains C57BL/6 (B6, H2b) and Kbm1 mutant bm1 have a defined difference of three amino acids at position 152, 155, and 156 in the MHC class I K molecule. This causes a change in the side and the bottom of the antigen presenting groove of the K molecule resulting in strong allogeneic responses in vitro and in vivo.
