Proteome database of unsensitized CD4 positive T lymphocytes in T cell receptor transgenic mice
ELECTROPHORESIS, 2003AbstractWe established a two‐dimensional electrophoresis (2‐DE) mapping database of splenic CD4 T cells prepared from I‐Ad‐restricted ovalbumin (OVA)323‐339 specific T cell receptor (TCR) transgenic mice (OVA23‐3). First we examined the purification of CD4 T cells and found that the high purity of cells produced more accurate protein maps.

Signalling processes involved in C-peptide-induced chemotaxis of CD4-positive lymphocytes
Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2009Previous data from our group demonstrated that C-peptide induces chemotaxis of CD4-positive lymphocytes in-vitro, mediated by activation of G-protein and PI 3-kinase gamma, but additional signalling pathways involved in this process remained unexplored.

The CD31 antigen, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with a possible cell adhesion function, is expressed on approximately 50% of peripheral blood lymphoid cells at relatively low intensity (10-20% of the level on monocytes).

Alopecia areata (AA) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by transient hair loss and preservation of the hair follicle that affect both sexes. There is scarcity in the published data that discuss the role of DR3 in pathogenesis and prognosis of AA. Therefore, our study was conducted to study this role by assessment of DR3 expression on circulating

Decreases of CD4- and CD8-positive T lymphocytes in retired chromate workers.
American Journal of Industrial Medicine, 1995To investigate the effects of chromates on the human immune system, we measured total T lymphocytes and their two major subpopulations (CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes) in the peripheral blood of 19 retired male workers who had been exposed to chromate at a ...

A 10-year-old Japanese boy developed acute hepatitis with high levels of serum Torque teno virus DNA and marked lymphocytopenia, especially CD4 T-lymphocytopenia. Although the total lymphocyte counts rose as the patient recovered from hepatitis, this was largely because of a marked rise in CD8 cells.

HIV-1 infection of humans leads to states of immunosuppression. Therefore, we sought to determine precise levels of HIV-1 infection of cells in vivo, as these data may assist in the understanding of the pathogenetic processes involved in HIV infection. We have developed an in situ polymerase chain reaction (IS-PCR), which allows amplification of various

Summary The role of T‐helper (TH) lymphocytes in activating peritoneal macrophages (PM) to kill larvae of the helminth Schistosoma mansoni (schistosomula) was investigated with the use of egg antigen‐specific CD4 positive TH clones of both the TH1 and TH2 types.

Quantification of CD4-positive T lymphocytes
1995Abstract Introduction The central lesion in HIV-induced immunodeficiency is the functional and numerical decrease in the CD4-positive population of T lymphocytes. Progressive loss of this key lymphoid population is associated with an increasing range and severity of cellular immunodeficiency and predisposition to ...

Initial treatment of heterotopic cardiac transplant recipients with anti-CD4 mAb promotes long-term (> 60 days) allograft survival. We have used modified limiting dilution analysis to quantitate donor alloantigen-reactive helper T lymphocytes (HTL) and CTL in mice bearing long-term cardiac allografts.
