Expression of CD47 protein in hematolymphoid neoplasms: Implications for CD47-mediated cancer immunotherapy

American Journal of Clinical Pathology
Abstract Objectives Recent studies show that blocking CD47-SIRPα interactions is a promising target in checkpoint inhibition for cancer immunotherapy. However, to date, the expression of CD47 is not well characterized in various hematolymphoid neoplasms.

CD47 and SIRPs: new openings

Blood, 2005
Comment on Piccio et al, page [2421][1] In the present issue of Blood , Piccio and colleagues report that a member of the signal-regulatory protein (SIRP) family, SIRPβ2, is expressed by T cells, binds to CD47, and costimulates T-cell proliferation.

[CD47 and leukemia stem cells].

Zhongguo shi yan xue ye xue za zhi, 2011
CD47, also known as integrin-associated protein (IAP), is an immunoglobulin-like protein. It can inhibit the phagocytosis of macrophages through binding with signal-regulatory protein alpha chain of inhibitory receptor on macrophage (SIRPα). The expression of CD47 on normal hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) is useful for maintaining the stability of HSCs

Mechanismy regulace povrchové exprese CD47

2017
CD47 glycoprotein can be found on the surface of all healthy cells in our body. The interaction of CD47 with inhibitory receptor SIRPα on the macrophage leads to the inhibition of phagocytosis. This makes CD47 irreplaceable for the safe recognition of own cells and removal of aged or apoptotic cells.
