Tracking TCRß sequence clonotype expansions during antiviral therapy using high-throughput sequencing of the hypervariable region [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
To maintain a persistent infection viruses such as hepatitis C virus (HCV) employ a range of mechanisms that subvert protective T cell responses. The suppression of antigen-specific T cell responses by HCV hinders efforts to profile T cell responses ...

Multivalent Protein Nanorings for Broad and Potent SARS‐CoV‐2 Neutralization

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A protein‐only, modular multivalent nanoscaffold displaying 20 anchor points, decorated with two different binders (10 of each), targeting the SARS‐CoV‐2 receptor‐binding domain is presented. The construct self‐assembles into stable, biocompatible, homogeneous nanoparticles, exhibit synergistic binding with fM IC50 values. It also detects spike at 9 ng

Definition of Drosophila hemocyte subsets by cell-type specific antigens. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We analyzed the heterogeneity of Drosophila hemocytes on the basis of the expression of cell-type specific antigens. The antigens characterize distinct subsets which partially overlap with those defined by morphological criteria.

IL‐2 Free Expansion of T Cells with Immunofilaments

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Ratio and density of stimulatory αCD3 and αCD28 mAb on immunofilaments (IF) influence T cell expansion, cytokine production, and effector phenotype. Moreover, IL‐2 supplementation is not necessary with optimal performing IFs, which leads to simpler culture conditions, and negative side effects of IL‐2 supplementation are reduced.

Disease-specific B cell clones are shared between patients with Crohn’s disease

open access: yesNature Communications
B cells have important functions in gut homeostasis, and dysregulated B cell populations are frequently observed in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, including both ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD). How these B cell perturbations

Recombinant proteins as promising antigens applied to the immunodiagnosis of Chagas disease: a scoping review

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Chagas disease (CD), caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi, is an important public health problem, occurring mainly in Latin America. The disease has a major social and economical effect, negatively impacting the life of the infected individuals, and

Thymocyte binding to human thymic epithelial cells is inhibited by monoclonal antibodies to CD-2 and LFA-3 antigens.

open access: yesJournal of Immunology, 1987
With the use of cultured human thymic epithelial (TE) cells, we have previously shown that thymocytes bind to TE cells in suspension in a rosette-forming assay.

Diagnostic Accuracy of Tissue Transglutaminase and Combined Assay of Tissue Transglutaminase and Deamidated Gliadin Peptide in Children with Coeliac Disease: A Cross-sectional Study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Introduction: Coeliac Disease (CD) is a systemic immune disorder caused by gluten in genetically susceptible individuals. A serological screening assay for CD has been designed to detect Immunoglobulin A (IgA) and IgG anti-tissue Transglutaminase (a-tTG)
