Comprehensive Analysis of Microbiomes and Metabolomics Reveals the Mechanism of Adaptation to Cadmium Stress in Rhizosphere Soil of Rhododendron decorum subsp. Diaprepes

open access: yesHorticulturae
The toxicity of cadmium (Cd) not only affects the growth and development of plants but also has an impact on human health. In this study, high-throughput sequencing and LC-MS were conducted to analyze the effect of CdCl2 treatment on the microbial ...

Anion‐Π Meets H‐Bonding: Tuning Synergy Through the Flexibility‐to‐Preorganization Transition in Anion Receptor Design

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 19, October 6, 2025.
Three anion receptors combining both hydrogen bonding and anion‐π interactions are synthetized, involving different spacers in order to evaluate the influence of molecular preorganization and rigidity on chloride binding. The naphthalene spacer in receptor 3 leads to more effective anion binding compared to flexible or less‐structured systems.

Therapeutic Efficacy of Helianthemum lippii Extract and Silver Nanoparticles Synthesized from the Extract against Cadmium-Induced Renal Nephrotoxicity in Wistar Rats

open access: yesPharmaceuticals
This study explored the therapeutic efficacy of Helianthemum lippii and silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) synthesized using a H. lippii extract to alleviate cadmium-induced nephrotoxicity in Wistar rats. Sub-acute toxicity assessments of H. lippii (100 mg/kg,

Rethinking Clause Management for CDCL SAT Solvers

open access: yesCoRR
Boolean Satisfiability (SAT) solving underpins a wide range of applications in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), particularly formal verification. However, this paper observes that the mainstream clause reduction heuristic in modern SAT solvers becomes ineffective in the critical domain of complex arithmetic circuit verification, such as multipliers.

Unraveling the Crystal Structures of Picolinic Acid Derivatives: Synthesis, Packing, Interactions, and Conformational Flexibility

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2025.
Subtle changes transform crystal structures: synthesis, interactions, and flexibility of novel picolinic acid derivatives with promising biomedical applications, detailed through X‐ray diffraction and conformational modeling. Picolinic acid and its derivatives are widely used as pendant arms in ligands for metal ion complexation, with possible ...

Understanding the Interplay Between Pore Structure and Ionic Liquid Interaction on the Gas Uptake of Microporous Carbons

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 37, September 18, 2025.
The interplay between pore structure and ionic liquid (IL) loading in CO2‐activated microporous carbons is explored to examine their gas adsorption and interface properties. Two hydrophobic ILs with distinct sizes demonstrate unique configurations within different pores, resulting in enhanced gas uptake and confinement effects.

The Effects of Seleno-Methionine in Cadmium-Challenged Human Primary Chondrocytes

open access: yesPharmaceuticals
Cadmium (Cd) is a potentially toxic element able to interfere with cellular functions and lead to disease or even death. Cd accumulation has been demonstrated in cartilage, where it can induce damage in joints.
