Cube and Conquer: Guiding CDCL SAT Solvers by Lookaheads [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Satisfiability (SAT) is considered as one of the most important core technologies in formal verification and related areas. Even though there is steady progress in improving practical SAT solving, there are limits on scalability of SAT solvers. We address this issue and present a new approach, called cube-and-conquer, targeted at reducing solving time ...

Boosting the Performance of SLS and CDCL Solvers by Preprocessor Tuning

open access: yesEPiC Series in Computing, 2018
Preprocessing techniques are crucial for SAT solvers when it comes to reaching state-of-the-art performance as it was shown by the results of the last SAT Competitions. Theusefulness of a preprocessing technique depends highly on its own parameters, on the in-stances on which it is applied and on the used solver.

Effectiveness of pre- and inprocessing for CDCL-based SAT solving

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
Applying pre- and inprocessing techniques to simplify CNF formulas both before and during search can considerably improve the performance of modern SAT solvers. These algorithms mostly aim at reducing the number of clauses, literals, and variables in the formula.

Phytocompounds and Regulation of Flavonoids in In Vitro-Grown Safflower Plant Tissue by Abiotic Elicitor CdCl2

open access: yesMetabolites
In this study, a Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) investigation of embryogenic callus and somatic embryo regenerated shoots of Carthamus tinctorius revealed the presence of a variety of sugars, sugar acids, sugar alcohols, fatty acids ...

Sulforaphane Exposure Prevents Cadmium-Induced Toxicity and Mitochondrial Dysfunction in the Nematode Caenorhabditis elegans by Regulating the Insulin/Insulin-like Growth Factor Signaling (IIS) Pathway

open access: yesAntioxidants
Cadmium (Cd) is a heavy metal that is highly toxic to humans and animals. Its adverse effects have been widely associated with mitochondrial alterations. However, there are not many treatments that target mitochondria.

Extending CDCL-based Model Enumeration with Weights

open access: yesCoRR
In this work we investigate Weighted Model Enumeration (WME): given a Boolean formula and a weight function over its satisfying assignments, enumerate models while accounting for their weights. This setting supports weight-driven queries, such as producing the top-k models or all models above a threshold.

DeepCDCL: A CDCL-based Neural Network Verification Framework

open access: yes
Neural networks in safety-critical applications face increasing safety and security concerns due to their susceptibility to little disturbance. In this paper, we propose DeepCDCL, a novel neural network verification framework based on the Conflict-Driven Clause Learning (CDCL) algorithm.

The effect of annealing and CdCl2 activation on the electrical properties of thin film ZnO buffer layers for CdSeTe/CdTe solar cells

open access: yesJPhys Energy
Highly resistive ZnO thin films are effective n-type buffer layers for thin film CdSeTe/CdTe photovoltaic devices. However, high-temperature processing during device fabrication may alter their electrical properties.

An Exponential Separation between Deterministic CDCL and DPLL Solvers

open access: yesCoRR
We prove that there exists a deterministic configuration of Conflict Driven Clause Learning (CDCL) SAT solvers using a variant of the VSIDS branching heuristic that solves instances of the Ordering Principle (OP) CNF formulas in time polynomial in n, where n is the number of variables in such formulas.
