Excess primer degradation by Exo I improves the preparation of 3′ cDNA ligation-based sequencing libraries

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2019
RNA sequencing library construction using single-stranded ligation of a DNA adapter to 3′ ends of cDNAs often produces primer–adapter byproducts, which compete with cDNA–adapter ligation products during library amplification and, therefore, reduces the ...

HMGB1 Derived from the Pyroptotic Microenvironment Promotes Macrophage Extracellular Traps in Hirschsprung‐Associated Enterocolitis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
HMGB1 derived from the pyroptotic environment in Hirschsprung‐associated enterocolitis mediates the formation of macrophage extracellular traps through TLR4 ‐p38 MAPK/p65 NF‐kB signaling pathways. Macrophage extracellular traps induce increased ROS production and pyroptosis of colonic epithelial cells.

Novel Biologically Active Glass Fiber Functionalized Using Magnesium Phosphate Cement Promotes Bone and Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
In this study, a new type of bioactive glass fiber ‐based composite magnesium phosphate bone cement is prepared and verified that its mechanical strength and biological properties. In addition, the cement may have played a biologically active role in the Notch and HIF signaling pathways.

Analysis and chromosomal mapping of Leishmania (Leishmania) amazonensis amastigote expressed sequence tags

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 2007
The characterization of expressed sequence tags (ESTs) generated from a cDNA library of Leishmania (Leishmania) amazonensis amastigotes is described. The sequencing of 93 clones generated new L. (L.) amazonensis ESTs from which 32% are not related to any

Molecular cloning and functional expression of a novel brain-specific inward rectifier potassium channel [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We have cloned a novel brain-specific inward rectifier K+ channel from a mouse brain cDNA library and designated it MB-IRK3. The mouse brain cDNA library was screened using a fragment of the mouse macrophage inward rectifier K+ channel (IRK1) cDNA as a ...

Cloning of CRP2, a novel member of the cysteine-rich protein family with two repeats of an unusual LIM/double zinc-finger motif [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The cDNA coding for a novel member of the cysteine-rich protein family was isolated from a rat brain cDNA library. It encodes a protein, denoted cysteine-rich protein 2 (CRP2), of 208 amino acid residues containing two tandem repeats of an unusual LIM ...
