This study investigates the prevalence of multidrug‐resistant Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae in South Lebanon's Saida region, focusing on ESBL and carbapenemase production. Results showed a high prevalence of ESBL producers (89.5%) and a lower rate of carbapenemase producers (10.5%), with blaCTX‐M being the most common ESBL gene.
