These studies covered 51 antibiotics, theoretically leading to 2550 potential recommendations regarding alternatives in case of specific allergies. Clinical and Genetic Associations in Cephalosporin‐Induced Liver Injury: Insights From the Drug‐Induced Liver Injury Network

Cephalosporin‐induced liver injury usually presents as a self‐limited, mixed, or cholestatic hepatitis without hypersensitivity features, typically developing 1 to 4 weeks after treatment. With cefazolin, it often occurs after a single parenteral dose. A strong genetic association has been found with HLA‐A*02:01, with more severe liver injury at onset.

This study investigates the prevalence of multidrug‐resistant Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae in South Lebanon's Saida region, focusing on ESBL and carbapenemase production. Results showed a high prevalence of ESBL producers (89.5%) and a lower rate of carbapenemase producers (10.5%), with blaCTX‐M being the most common ESBL gene.
