Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.

Heterochronic Pellet Assay to Test Cell-cell Communication in the Mouse Retina
All seven retinal cell types that make up the mature retina are generated from a common, multipotent pool of retinal progenitor cells (RPCs) (Wallace, 2011).

LIANA+ provides an all-in-one framework for cell–cell communication inference
The growing availability of single-cell and spatially resolved transcriptomics has led to the development of many approaches to infer cell–cell communication, each capturing only a partial view of the complex landscape of intercellular signalling.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Competition between Spiral-Defect Chaos and Rolls in Rayleigh-Benard Convection
We present experimental results for pattern formation in Rayleigh-Benard convection of a fluid with a Prandtl number, Pr~ 4. We find that the spiral-defect-chaos (SDC) attractor which exists for Pr~1 has become unstable.

Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

This study addressed how a senior research thesis is perceived by undergraduate students. It assessed students' perception of research skills, epistemological beliefs, and career goals in Biochemistry (science) and BDC (science‐business) students. Completing a thesis improved confidence in research skills, resilience, scientific identity, closed gender‐
