Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Slik sculpts the plasma membrane into cytonemes to control cell-cell communication

open access: yesThe EMBO Journal
Synopsis Cytonemes are specialized cellular protrusions that mediate cell–cell communication at a distance. This study identifies Slik as a unique Ser/Thr kinase that is essential for cytoneme biogenesis, with dual roles in membrane sculpting and ...

Therapeutic Potential of Adipose-Derived Regenerative Cells for Ischemic Diseases

open access: yesCells
Adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) are one of the most promising cell sources that possess significant therapeutic effects. They have now become a main source of cell therapy for the treatment of ischemic diseases due to their easy accessibility,

Diffusion‐Weighted Imaging for the Evaluation of the Sacroiliac Joint in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Maturational signal in the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) of skeletally immature youth is often misinterpreted as inflammation. Diagnostic tools that improve specificity are greatly needed. Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values from diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI), when used with standard imaging, may enhance diagnostic accuracy.
