Radiosensitivity of Mesothelioma Cell Lines

Acta Oncologica, 1996
The present study was carried out in order to examine the radiosensitivity of malignant pleural mesothelioma cell lines. Cell kinetics, radiation-induced delay of the cell cycle and DNA ploidy of the cell lines were also determined. For comparison an HeLa and a human foetal fibroblast cell line were simultaneously explored.

Cells and Cell Lines

1990
The establishment of successful tissue cultures requires several important pieces of equipment: a flow hood, a temperature-, humidity-, and CO2-controlled incubator, an inverted microscope, a 4°C refrigerator, a −20°C freezer, and a liquid-nitrogen freezer for long-term cell storage.

A human liposarcoma cell line

In Vitro, 1980
The properties of a new cell line derived from a human retroperitoneal liposarcoma are described. The cells do not grow at low cell concentrations and contain in their cytoplasm large numbers of droplets that stain with Oil Red O. No indication of the presence of endogenous virus particles could be found. The mean chromosome number per cell is 36, with

Biology of Hodgkin Cell Lines

1989
Studies to characterize Hodgkin and Reed-Sternberg cells in histological sections have yielded many conflicting data over the years. Even with progress in immunohistological technology, the histogenetic derivation of these cells remains unclear. Functional and genetic investigations are hampered by the scarcity of tumor cells in Hodgkin’s disease ...

Mast Cell and Basophil Cell Lines: A Compendium

2014
Mast cells and basophils play a crucial role during type I hypersensitivity reactions. However, despite efforts to elucidate their role in the pathogenesis of allergy and inflammation, our understanding of MC and basophil biology is still relatively scarce.

Production of T-Cell Lines

2008
Allergen-specific T-cell lines established from allergic patients provide the opportunity of investigating T-cell functions at the poly- or oligoclonal level. T-cell lines are useful in determining the presence or absence of antigen-specific T-cell reactivity. However, to obtain detailed knowledge of the action of T cells with clearly defined features,
