A PDK1-dependent regulation of PLCγ1 activation is essential for cancer cell migration and invasion [PDF]
PhDPhospholipase Cγ1 (PLCγ1) is highly expressed in several tumours such as breast carcinomas and has been found overexpressed in metastases compared to primary tumour in breast cancer patients, indicating that PLCγ1 may be important in tumourigenesis ...

Ropivacaine inhibits proliferation, migration and invasion of human liver cancer cell line Hep3B [PDF]
Objective To study the effects of ropivacaine on the biological behaviour of liver cancer cell line Hep3B and to explore its molecular mechanism. Methods Hep3B cells were divided into the control group, ropivacaine group, si-NC group, si-LINC00853 group,

Background Approximately 80% of brain tumours are gliomas. Despite treatment, patient mortality remains high due to local metastasis and relapse. It has been shown that transferrin-functionalised porous silicon nanoparticles (Tf@pSiNPs) can inhibit the ...

U1 snRNP regulates cancer cell migration and invasion in vitro
Stimulated cells and cancer cells have widespread shortening of mRNA 3’-untranslated regions (3’UTRs) and switches to shorter mRNA isoforms due to usage of more proximal polyadenylation signals (PASs) in introns and last exons. U1 snRNP (U1), vertebrates’

IIp45 Inhibits Cell Migration through Inhibition of HDAC6 [PDF]
IIp45 (aka MIIP) is a newly discovered gene whose protein product inhibits cell migration. HDAC6 is a class IIb deacetylase that specifically deacetylates alpha-tubulin, modulates microtubule dynamics, and promotes cell migration. A yeast two-hybrid assay using IIp45 as bait identified HDAC6 protein as a binding partner of IIp45.

Upregulation of TCF21 inhibits migration of adrenocortical carcinoma cells [PDF]
Abstract Background Adrenocortical carcinomas (ACC) are rare and aggressive cancer. Our previous study has revealed that the transcription factor 21, TCF21, is downregulated in ACC and regulates steroidogenic factor 1 (SF-1) binding to the SF-1 E-box promoter.

Only a fraction of cancer patients benefits from immune checkpoint inhibitors. This may be partly due to the dense extracellular matrix (ECM) that forms a barrier for T cells.

Inhibition of cell migration by PITENINs: the role of ARF6 [PDF]
We have reported previously the development of small-molecule phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PIP3) antagonists (PITs) that block pleckstrin homology (PH) domain interaction, including activation of Akt, and show anti-tumor potential. Here we show that the same molecules inhibit growth factor-induced actin remodeling, lamellipodia formation ...
