Concanavalin A inhibits Tumour Cell Migration
Nature New Biology, 1971PHYTOAGGLUTININS such as the jack bean protein concanavalin A (Con A)1 promise to be of value in investigating some of the alterations of cell membrane structure which accompany malignant transformation2. We have observed that Con A in sub-agglutinating amounts inhibits the migration of tumour cells.

Neomycin inhibits glioma cell migration
Neurological Research, 2004Blocking migration is an attractive strategy to inhibit glioma tumorigenesis. Previous studies have indicated that neomycin inhibits glioma cells proliferation. The purpose of this study was to expand on the preliminary research by investigating the antimigratory effect of neomycin.

Mechanisms of inhibition of endothelial cell migration by taxanes
Cytoskeleton, 2013Several antiangiogenic mechanisms have been proposed for the widely‐used cancer chemotherapeutic drugs taxotere (docetaxel) and taxol (paclitaxel), but none has been definitively identified. We analyzed their effects at a range of concentrations on migration and mitosis of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) on microtubule and focal ...

Annexins II and V Inhibit Cell Migration
Experimental Cell Research, 1997Cell motility is a crucial component involved in wound healing, development, and tumor metastasis. This study investigated whether extracellular annexins, members of a calcium- and phospholipid-binding family of proteins, play a role in the migration of Lewis lung carcinoma cells.

Platelets Inhibit Migration of Canine Osteosarcoma Cells
Journal of Comparative Pathology, 2017The interaction between platelets and tumour cells is important for tumour growth and metastasis. Thrombocytopenia or antiplatelet treatment negatively impact on cancer metastasis, demonstrating potentially important roles for platelets in tumour progression.
