Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) using droplet microfluidics occasionally produces transcriptome data representing more than one cell. These technical artifacts are caused by cell doublets formed during cell capture and occur at a frequency ...

Gene copy number and cell cycle arrest [PDF]
The cell cycle is an orderly sequence of events which ultimately lead to the division of a single cell into two daughter cells. In the case of DNA damage by radiation or chemicals, the damage checkpoints in the $G_{1}$ and $G_{2}$ phases of the cell cycle are activated. This results in an arrest of the cell cycle so that the DNA damage can be repaired.

Lifestyle Behaviors and Cardiotoxic Treatment Risks in Adult Childhood Cancer Survivors
ABSTRACT Background Higher doses of anthracyclines and heart‐relevant radiotherapy increase cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. This study assessed CVD and CVD risk factors among adult childhood cancer survivors (CCSs) across cardiotoxic treatment risk groups and examined associations between lifestyle behaviors and treatment risks.

In order to efficiently characterize both antiproliferative potency and mechanism of action of small molecules targeting the cell cycle, we developed a high-throughput image-based assay to determine cell number and cell cycle phase distribution.

ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

Cell-Free Massive MIMO Versus Small Cells [PDF]
A Cell-Free Massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) system comprises a very large number of distributed access points (APs), which simultaneously serve a much smaller number of users over the same time/frequency resources based on directly measured

Reduced Number of CD1a+ Cells in Cutaneous B-Cell Lymphoma [PDF]
Cutaneous B-cell lymphoma is difficult to distinguish from pseudolymphoma. The histologic pattern and monoclonal restriction (immunohistochemical analysis and molecular biology) are the criteria used for differentiating these entities. CD1a+ dendritic cells have been observed in the infiltrates of T-cell lymphoma, but the presence of these CD1a+ cells ...

ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...
