BLOC: Buildable and Linkable Organ on a Chip

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We developed a “Buildable and Linkable Organ on a Chip” (BLOC) that can construct diverse microphysiological systems (MPSs). The BLOC is standardized to the same size and has one of the functions of “Culture,” “Control,” or “Analysis.” Users can freely configure various MPSs, including developing perfusion, cytotoxicity analysis, and biochemical ...

Adhesive Double‐Network Granular Organogel E‐Skin

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce a double‐network granular organogel adhesive for electronic skin, overcoming adhesion and strength trade‐offs. It provides reversible, robust bonding and ionic conductivity, enabling wearable and soft robotic e‐skin. Thanks to the e‐skin adhesive, a soft robotic trunk can recognize touch, temperature, humidity, and acidity.

Respiration in cell development

Archiv fr Mikrobiologie, 1971
Dark oxygen uptake was measured manometrically for cells of green high-temperature alga, Chlorella 7-11-05, separated from nonsynchronized populations by centrifugation into fractions of predominantly small or large cells. In the presence of exogenous glucose, respiration activity of the smaller (younger) cell fraction was invariably higher than that ...
