Novel Properties for Endoglucanase Acquired by Cell-Surface Display Technique

open access: yesJournal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2015
In order to improve the stability of endoglucanase under thermal and acidic conditions, the endoglucanase gene was fused to the N-terminus of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae pir gene, encoding the cell wall protein PIR. The fusion gene was transformed into Pichia pastoris GS115 for expression.

Selection of binding targets in parasites using phage-display and aptamer libraries in vivo and in vitro

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2013
Parasite infections are largely dependent on interactions between pathogen and different host cell populations to guarantee a successful infectious process.

Drug-like antibodies with high affinity, diversity and developability directly from next-generation antibody libraries

open access: yesmAbs, 2021
Therapeutic antibodies must have “drug-like” properties. These include high affinity and specificity for the intended target, biological activity, and additional characteristics now known as “developability properties”: long-term stability and resistance

Evolutionarily unique mechanistic framework of clathrin-mediated endocytosis in plants

open access: yeseLife, 2020
In plants, clathrin mediated endocytosis (CME) represents the major route for cargo internalisation from the cell surface. It has been assumed to operate in an evolutionary conserved manner as in yeast and animals.

Antibacterial and Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Apolipoprotein E

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2022
Apolipoprotein E (APOE) is a lipid-transport protein that functions as a key mediator of lipid transport and cholesterol metabolism. Recent studies have shown that peptides derived from human APOE display anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. Here,

Surface plasmon assisted toxic chemical NO2 gas sensor by Au ∕ ZnO functional thin films [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sensors and Sensor Systems, 2021
In this short communication, we propose a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor based on a ZnO / Au hybrid thin-film material structure and experimentally investigate its sensitivity improvement.

Fabrication of Micro- and Nanopillars from Pyrolytic Carbon and Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon

open access: yesMicromachines, 2019
Pattern formation of pyrolyzed carbon (PyC) and tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) thin films were investigated at micro- and nanoscale. Micro- and nanopillars were fabricated from both materials, and their biocompatibility was studied with cell ...
