Red cell survival in the puerperium
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1968Abstract Red cell survival was measured in 10 normal puerperal women using radioactive chromium tagging of red cells. The T 1/2 varied between 21 and 33 days as compared with 22 to 37 days in 12 normal nonpregnant subjects. The data indicate that red cell survival in the puerperium is normal.
