Hybrid cellular adhoc network

Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology - ICWET '11, 2011
For improving spatial reuse in a cellular network, consider augmenting it with wireless ad hoc connectivity. The coverage area of each base-station is reduced and the users that are within the area relay traffic to nodes outside the area; these users further relay data to more distant users within the cell.

Fairness in cellular mobile networks

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2002
Summary: Channel allocation algorithms for channelized cellular systems are discussed from a new perspective, viz., fairness of allocation. The concepts of relative and absolute fairness are introduced and discussed. It is shown that under certain reasonable assumptions, there exists an absolute (max-min) fair carried traffic intensity vector (a vector

SELFORGANIZATION IN MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR NETWORKS

Neurochemistry International, 1980
Biological organisation rests on forces among material constituents which manifest themselves in two principal forms, namely as static-conservative and as dynamic-dissipative, the latter being responsible for selforganisational and regulatory behaviour.

Interference Evaluation in Cellular Networks

Wireless Personal Communications, 2018
Interference in cellular networks is one of the most common problems in the radio access network. In fact, it is the major issue in cellular networks that affects performances and quality of service. Indeed, interference can be caused by a call on the same frequency from neighboring cell, or a call on an adjacent channel in the same or in neighboring ...

SPHERICAL CELLULAR NONLINEAR NETWORKS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2001
We present the structures and behaviors of cellular nonlinear networks (CNN) on spheres (spherical CNN for short). Although the cells in a spherical CNN can have any number of neighbors, in this paper we study the cases where each cell has only three neighbors. We present the simulation results of symmetric and asymmetric spherical CNNs.

Linear cellular neural networks

ISCAS 2001. The 2001 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01CH37196), 2002
In this paper we introduce a new way of image processing based on CNN but whose activation function is a linear function. This fact enables us to develop gray-scale image processing; here we introduce the mathematical basis and the electrical model. In addition, some examples are presented and the properties of these networks are discussed.

Cellular Networks

A cellular network refers to a mobile network wherein nodes distributed across long distances communicate with each other using radio frequency connections. Cellular wireless networks divide large geographic areas into sections or cells, each served by at least one transceiver.

On the statistics of SINR in cellular networks

2015 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2015
We provide new results on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) statistics considering a Poisson point process (PPP)-based heterogeneous interference field. In particular, closed-form expressions for the density functions of the reciprocal of the aggregate interference and signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) are developed. We prove that the

Reverse engineering cellular networks

Nature Protocols, 2006
We describe a computational protocol for the ARACNE algorithm, an information-theoretic method for identifying transcriptional interactions between gene products using microarray expression profile data. Similar to other algorithms, ARACNE predicts potential functional associations among genes, or novel functions for uncharacterized genes, by ...

Interference Alignment for Cellular Networks

2008 46th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing, 2008
In this paper, we propose a new way of interference management for cellular networks. We develop the scheme that approaches to interference-free degree-of-freedom (dof) as the number K of users in each cell increases. Also we find the corresponding bandwidth scaling conditions for typical wireless channels: multi-path channels and single-path channels ...
