Machine Learning‐Supported Analysis for Predicting and Visualizing Nonlinear Relationships Between Material Properties in Electroplated Chromium Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...

Cellular uptake of phosphonylmethoxyalkylpurine derivatives

Antiviral Research, 1991
The cellular uptake of the phosphonylmethoxyalkylpurine derivatives HPMPA and PMEA has been studied in H9 cells. The two compounds exhibited an identical pattern of permeation in this cell line. Uptake did not occur via the nucleoside transport system, but through a different mechanism which, for its slow kinetics and temperature-dependence, is ...

Cellular uptake of an α-AApeptide

Org. Biomol. Chem., 2012
Some short and cationic peptides such as the Tat peptide can cross the cell membrane and function as vectors for intracellular delivery. Here we show that an α-AApeptide is able to penetrate the membranes of living cells from an extracellular environment and enter the endosome and cytoplasm of cells.

Cellular uptake of cadmium and zinc

Biological Trace Element Research, 1981
CHO mutants, resistant to over 100-fold of a normally toxic level of extracellular cadmium have been used to examine the mutually antagonistic effect of Cd and Zn on their uptake. Cadmium uptake in these mutants is only 7-10% that of the parental cells. Zinc uptake in these mutants is equal to or greater than that in the wild-type cells.
