Ba Isotope Ratio in CEMP-s and CEMP-rs Stars as a Signature of s-Process and i-Process
We present a spectroscopic analysis of three carbon-enhanced metal-poor (CEMP) stars of type CEMP-s and CEMP-rs and determine their non-local thermodynamic equilibrium (NLTE) abundances of Ba and the fractions of the odd Ba isotopes (Fodd). We found Fodd

The i-process and CEMP-r/s stars [PDF]
© Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Licence. We investigate whether the anomalous elemental abundance patterns in some of the C-enhanced metal-poor-r/s (CEMP-r/s) stars are ...

Exploring the SDSS Dataset with Linked Scatter Plots: I. EMP, CEMP, and CV Stars. [PDF]
We present the results of a search for EMP, CEMP, and cataclysmic variable stars using a new exploration tool based on linked scatter plots (LSPs). Our approach is especially designed to work with very large spectrum data sets such as the SDSS, LAMOST ...

Probing the first generations of massive stars through fluorine in CEMP-no stars
We investigate whether the first discovered fluorine-rich CEMP-no star, CS 29498$-$043, can be explained by a very metal-poor rotating massive star. We consider single rotating stellar models of 20 $M_{\odot}$ at a metallicity of $Z = 10^{-5}$, exploring initial rotation rates from $\upsilon_{\rm ini}/\upsilon_{\rm crit} = 0$ to $0.7$ in increments of $

THE EVOLVED PULSATING CEMP STAR HD 112869 [PDF]
ABSTRACT Radial velocity measurements, BVR C photometry, and high-resolution spectroscopy in the wavelength region from blue to near-infrared are employed in order to clarify the evolutionary status of the ...

Radial Velocity Properties of Binary CEMP-r/s Stars [PDF]
Low metallicity stars allow us to better understand the chemical evolution of the Milky Way. A large fraction of low metallicity stars show large enhancements in carbon. These stars are known as Carbon Enhanced Metal Poor stars (CEMP stars).

Clues on the first stars from CEMP-no stars [PDF]
AbstractThe material used to form the CEMP-no stars presents signatures of processing by the CNO cycle and by He-burning from a previous stellar generation called spinstars. We compare the composition of the ejecta (wind + supernova) of a spinstar model to observed abundances of CEMP-no stars.

A NEW CEMP-s RR LYRAE STAR [PDF]
We show that SDSS J170733.93+585059.7 (hereafter SDSS J1707+58), previously identified by Aoki and collaborators as a carbon-enhanced metal-poor star (with s-process-element enhancements; CEMP-s), on the assumption that it is a main-sequence turn-off star, is the RR Lyrae star VIII-14 identified by the Lick Astrograph Survey.
