ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Design Optimality Criteria of Reduced Models for Variations of Central Composite Design
Choosing a response surface design to fit certain kinds of models is a difficult task. This work focuses on the reduced second order models having no quadratic and no interaction terms for five variations of Central Composite Design (SCCD, RCCD, OCCD, Slope-R and FCC) using the D-, G- and A- optimality criteria.

Assessment of Cytotoxicity of Titanium Tetrafluoride on Human Fibroblast Cell Line and Optimisation of Operational Conditions using Response Surface Methodology [PDF]
Introduction: Fluoride products have an important effect on preventing Early Childhood Caries (ECC). Titanium tetrafluoride (TiF4)’s efficacy as a preventive agent suggests its use for inhibition of caries in man; however, its cytotoxicity is still ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
