Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Inherited cavernous malformations of the central nervous system: clinical and genetic features in 19 Swiss families [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Cavernous malformations (CCMs) are benign, well-circumscribed, and mulberry-like vascular malformations that may be found in the central nervous system in up to 0.5% of the population. Cavernous malformations can be sporadic or inherited.

Epidural cavernous haemangioma during pregnancy: a case report and a literature review

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2019
Cavernous haemangiomas are benign vascular malformations that can locate in the central nervous system. The epidural spinal location remains unusual. Pregnancy is known to be a precipitating factor.

Developmental Venous Anomaly Serving as a Draining Vein of Brain Arteriovenous Malformation

open access: yesActa Clinica Croatica, 2017
Developmental venous anomalies are cerebral vascular malformations that present normal venous drainage of cerebral tissue. With increased and accessible usage of modern diagnostic tools, they are now one of the most commonly diagnosed cerebral vascular ...

Advanced technologies applied to physiopathological analysis of central nervous system aneurysms and vascular malformations

open access: yesDiagnostic and Interventional Imaging, 2014
While depiction and definition of morphological and architectural characteristics of CNS vascular disorders remains the first step of an MR analysis, emerging imaging techniques offer new functional information that might help to characterize rupture risk of CNS vascular disorders.

Additive‐Manufactured, Multifunctional Bioreactor Technology for Dynamic Culture of 3D Bioprinted Tissue Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...
