ROS Self‐Supply Nanoplatform Based on Fenton Catalyst for Chemodynamic and Immunotherapy: Reprogramming Cold Tumor Into Hot Tumor in Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional HA‐conjugated nanoplatform (HA‐PGMC) integrates CuO2, glucose oxidase, and mil‐100 to enable cascade catalytic ROS generation in tumor microenvironments. This self‐supplying ROS strategy induces immunogenic cell death, reprograms “cold” tumors into “hot” ones, and synergizes with PD‐L1 blockade, achieving potent chemodynamic ...

The effect of hypocapnia on systemic perfusion in patients with single ventricle after surgery

open access: yesВестник анестезиологии и реаниматологии, 2021
The objective: the aim of the study was to identify the relationship between arterial hypocapnia and systemic hypoperfusion in newborns with single ventricular physiology after hemodynamic correction of congenital heart disease. Subjects and methods. 125

RPLP2 Mediates the Beneficial Effects of Exercise on Stress Resistance Through Muscle–Brain Communication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel exercise‐inducible myokine acidic ribosomal protein P2 (RPLP2), initially identified from human trials, is presented here, whose circulating levels negatively correlate with clinical anxiety severity. Muscle‐derived RPLP2 enhances hippocampal ribosomal assembly and adult neurogenesis to rescue stress‐induced anxiety deficits.

Molecular Dynamics‐Guided Sterol Engineering of mRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticles Reprograms Biodistribution and Enhances Spleen‐Selective Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sterol engineering enables precise control of mRNA lipid nanoparticles by tuning membrane organization. Replacing cholesterol with bile acid‐derived sterols redirects protein expression from the liver to the spleen. Notably, CA‐20 LNP enhances antigen‐specific immune responses while exhibiting a favorable safety profile, highlighting sterols as a ...

Impact of mechanical power and positive end expiratory pressure on central vs. mixed oxygen and carbon dioxide related variables in a population of female piglets

open access: yesPhysiological Reports
Introduction The use of the pulmonary artery catheter has decreased overtime; central venous blood gases are generally used in place of mixed venous samples.

Synchronized Imaging of Hydrogen Peroxide and Hydroxyl Radical in Pyroptosis and Epilepsy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐responsive fluorescent probe, HH, enables synchronized visualization of H2O2 and •OH through spectrally resolved green and red channels. By tracking redox dynamics in pyroptosis and epilepsy models, HH reveals ROS elevation during seizure‐like pathology and supports evaluation of antioxidant and antiepileptic therapeutic interventions.

Engineering a 660 nm‐Responsive Optogenetic Inducer of Pyroptosis for Precision Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports a bioorthogonal pyroptosis inducer, PyroRACS. By using a red‐light‐responsive Cre‐On genetic switch to control the expression of highly cytotoxic GSDMDNT, PyroRACS enables the artificial induction of pyroptosis with precise spatiotemporal control.

Blood transfusion and oxygen extraction ratio in patients admitted to the general intensive care unit: A quasi experimental study

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Emergency Medicine, 2014
Blood transfusion is commonly undertaken in critically ill patients; and studies have suggested the use of oxygen extraction ratio (O2ER) as an additional transfusion trigger in critically ill patients.

Management of cesarean section in a patient with Fontan circulation: a case report of dramatic reduction of maternal oxygen consumption after delivery

open access: yesJA Clinical Reports, 2020
Background The anesthetic management of cesarean sections in Fontan-palliated parturients requires strict hemodynamic control. However, patient management with central venous oxygen saturation (ScvO2) and oxygen consumption (VO2) has never been reported.
