DETERMINANTS OF THE GENESIS OF HISTORICAL EDUCATION AND SCIENCE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SIBERIAN SCIENTIFIC-EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX: SYNTHESIS OF METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES

open access: yesВестник Кемеровского государственного университета, 2017
The article is devoted to analysis of the experience of methodological synthesis, carried out during the reconstruction of the historical evolution of science and higher historical education in Siberia. In relation to the object of study three approaches

Centre-periphery Cleavage in Ukraine

open access: yesLUMEN Proceedings, 2018
Once the former USSR collapsed, countries like Ukraine have construed their own collective identity aiming to differentiate them from internal and external “others” in a nation building process. New territorial boundaries have been established over the mental ones, founding myths and heroes have been recovered or reinstated.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Marginalisation et dépendance aérienne de l’Afrique sub-saharienne

open access: yesBelgeo, 2007
The place of sub-Saharan Africa in the world air system and the question of domestic flights in Africa are addressed in this paper, which analyzes the problems raised by air operation on that continent and fuels the discussion on regulation ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

EFFECT OF POSITIONAL DENSITY ON DC CONDUCTIVITY OF BAMBOO

open access: yesBioResources, 2010
In the present communication, the effect of positional density on the DC electrical conductivity of bamboo fibres was studied. A comparative study was made between the DC conductivity behavior of bamboo fibres taken from upper and lower portions of ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Geo-economics and geopolitics in Europe from the aspect of a centre-periphery divide

open access: yesModern Geográfia, 2017
The paper gives a comprehensive geo-economic analysis of Europe, providing a new, distance-based definition of core (360 km), centre (720 km), semi-periphery (1440 km) and periphery (over 1440 km), which is also relevant for other, non-European economies.

The Microstructural Characterization and Mechanical Properties of 5 vol. % (TiBw + TiCp)/Ti Composite Produced by Open-Die Forging

open access: yesMetals, 2018
In this study, a Ti composite reinforced with 5 vol. % (TiBw + TiCp) was fabricated by an in situ casting route. Open die forging in (α + β) phase region was conducted on the composite casting.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
