Anatomy of b → c τ ν anomalies
In recent times, one of the strongest hints of Physics Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) has been the anomaly in the ratios R D and R D * $$ {R}_{D^{*}} $$ measured in the charged current decays of B-mesons.

Quantum field theories on the Lefschetz thimble [PDF]
In these proceedings, we summarize the Lefschetz thimble approach to the sign problem of Quantum Field Theories. In particular, we review its motivations, and we summarize the results of the application of two different algorithms to two test models ...

Understanding forward $B$ hadron production
The LHCb collaboration has recently performed a measurement of the production rate of inclusive $B$ hadron production ($pp\to BX$) at both 7 and 13~TeV centre-of-mass (CoM) energies.

Photoproduction at collider energies: from RHIC and HERA to the LHC [PDF]
We present the mini-proceedings of the workshop on ``Photoproduction at collider energies: from RHIC and HERA to the LHC'' held at the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*, Trento) from January 15 to 19, 2007.

Automated Design of Tissue Engineering Scaffolds by Advanced CAD [PDF]
The design of scaffolds with an intricate and controlled internal structure represents a challenge for Tissue Engineering. Several scaffold manufacturing techniques allow the creation of complex and random architectures, but have little or no control ...

Asymptotic freedom in the Hamiltonian approach to binding of color
We derive asymptotic freedom and the SU(3) Yang-Mills β-function using the renormalization group procedure for effective particles. In this procedure, the concept of effective particles of size s is introduced. Effective particles in the Fock space build

Neumann–Rosochatius system for (m,n) string in $$AdS_3 \times S^3$$ A d S 3 × S 3 with mixed flux
$$SL(2,{\mathbb {Z}})$$ S L ( 2 , Z ) invariant action for probe (m, n) string in $$AdS_3\times S^3\times T^4$$ A d S 3 × S 3 × T 4 with mixed three-form fluxes can be described by an integrable deformation of an one-dimensional Neumann–Rosochatius (NR ...

Leading soft theorem for multiple gravitini
We compute leading soft theorem for multiple gravitini (and gravitons) in an arbitrary theory of supergravity with an arbitrary number of finite energy particles by extending Sen’s approach [1, 2] to fermionic symmetry. Our results are independent of the

Topological susceptibility and QCD axion mass: QED and NNLO corrections
We improve the precision of the topological susceptibility of QCD, and therefore of the QCD axion mass, by including O(α em) and NNLO corrections in the chiral expansion, which amount to 0.65(21)% and -0.71(29)% respectively.
