Single‐Cell Annotation and Localization via Integrating Spatial Transcriptomics Maps the Mouse Ocular Atlas and RAO Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed the ASCAL pipeline, integrating complementary spatial transcriptomics, to construct a high‐fidelity mouse whole‐eye single‐cell atlas. Applying ASCAL to a retinal artery occlusion (RAO) model revealed spatially restricted immune activation localized to the ganglion cell layer and the selective depletion of a translationally active, outer ...

Contribuição ao estudo das malformações occipito-cervical, particularmente da impressão basilar

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 1952
The authors outline the development of the spine and skull, particularly of axis, atlas and occipital bone. As neuro-skeletal dysmorphisms, the occipito-cervical malformations belong to the neurodysplastic group. They are classified as skeletal anomalies,

TRAUMATIC ATLANTOAXIAL ROTATORY DISLOCATION IN THE PEDIATRIC POPULATION

open access: yesColuna/Columna, 2021
Objective: The treatment of C1-C2 rotatory dislocation remains controversial and surgery is rare. Surgical treatment is indicated when the injury satisfies the instability criteria or when it cannot be reduced.

An unexpected cause of palmar paraesthesia in a soldier : a case report [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Athletes presenting with neurological symptoms merit thorough assessments that in most cases will include investigations with one or more imaging modality.

Targeting Lactate‐Driven Stromal Autophagy via MCT1 Disrupts the Immunosuppressive Niche and Sensitizes Pancreatic Cancer to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐derived lactate activates PSCs through MCT1‐mediated Vps34 lactylation and autophagy. These activated PSCs secrete CXCL9/10, upregulating PD‐1 on CD8+ T cells via the CXCR3/STAT3 axis to foster immunosuppression. Disrupting this metabolic crosstalk by targeting MCT1 effectively sensitizes pancreatic cancer to PD‐1 blockade, presenting a promising

Unusual cause of high cervical myelopathy-C1 arch stenosis

open access: yesJournal of Craniovertebral Junction and Spine, 2018
Introduction: High cervical myelopathy can be rarely caused by the developmental anomalies of atlas. Patients with C1 arch stenosis can present in early childhood or later in life.

S100A8/A9‐High Macrophages Activate Intestinal Fibroblasts via mCCL6/hCCL15‐CCR1 Axis to Drive Intestinal Fibrosis in Crohn's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
S100A8/A9‐high macrophages are markedly enriched in the stenotic intestinal tissue of patients with Crohn's disease. These profibrotic macrophages secrete mCCL6 in a STAT3‐dependent manner. mCCL6 and its human ortholog hCCL15 activate fibroblasts via the CCR1 receptor, thereby driving excessive collagen deposition.

Inferior Accessory Ossicle of Anterior Arch of Atlas: Case Report with 3D Visualisation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2019
Inferior accessory ossicle of anterior arch of atlas is a rare, albeit normal variant in relation to the cervical spine, invariably detected incidentally while investigating for other unrelated condition. Its existence should always be kept in mind while

Targeting p21‐High Senescent Kupffer Cells Nanotherapeutically Potentiates Antitumor Immunity in Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Portal Vein Tumor Thrombus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of a biomimetic SKEV@AAV platform targeting p21‐high senescent Kupffer cells (sKCs) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT). p21‐high sKCs accumulate in the PVTT microenvironment and establish an immunosuppressive, SASP‐rich environment that facilitates tumor cell proliferation and immune evasion.
