Change management in objectbases

open access: yes, 1994
In OODBMSs type-specific methods are used for manipulating objects, in order to maintain the consistency of the database. This is, however, of little help for the method implementor as far as the model-inherent constraints are concerned. We propose a set of generic update operations, including operations for object evolution that maintain integrity ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Management of IT-enabled Change in a Public Organization in Tanzania

open access: yes, 2007
The implementation of Information Technology (IT) is always associated with organisational change issues and in developing countries this is even more complex due to poorer and less established IT resources and governance.
