Vortex patterns and the critical rotational frequency in rotating dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates
Based on the two-dimensional mean-field equations for pancake-shaped dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates in a rotating frame with both attractive and repulsive dipole-dipole interaction (DDI) as well as arbitrary polarization angle, we study the profiles ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Financial Asset Returns, Direction-of-Change Forecasting, and Volatility Dynamics [PDF]
We consider three sets of phenomena that feature prominently and separately in the financial economics literature: conditional mean dependence (or lack thereof) in asset returns, dependence (and hence forecastability) in asset return signs, and ...

Effects of interface electric field on the magnetoresistance in spin device
An extension of the standard spin diffusion theory is presented by introducing a density-gradient (DG) term that is suitable for describing interface quantum tunneling phenomena.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Industrial policy, collective action, and the direction of technological change [PDF]
This paper studies patterns of technological change under two scenarios. In Scenario I, a distorted government is open to the influence of producers' collective action, while in Scenario II a benevolent government operates to maximize national income ...

Electric-field control of magnetic ordering in the tetragonal BiFeO3
We propose a way to use electric-field to control the magnetic ordering of the tetragonal BiFeO3. Based on systematic first-principles studies of the epitaxial strain effect on the ferroelectric and magnetic properties of the tetragonal BiFeO3, we find ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
