Multi-Objective Optimization Strategy for Commercial Vehicle Permanent Magnet Water Pump Motor Based on Improved Sparrow Algorithm

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In order to achieve multi-objective optimization for a permanent magnet water pump motor in heavy commercial vehicles, we propose a strategy based on response-surface methodology and the improved sparrow algorithm (CGE-SSA).

A Graph-Based Method for Tactical Planning of Lane-Level Driving Tasks in the Outlook Region

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Road traffic regulations usually require that a vehicle can only move one lane during one lane change and must turn on the turn signal before changing lanes.

Characteristics, properties and limitations of per‐ or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and fluoropolymers

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
An overview and categorization of man‐made per‐ or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) including low‐molar‐mass and high‐molar‐mass fluorochemicals, and their international regulations is presented. Though certain PFASs are toxic, bioaccumulative and cross the human cellular membranes, others, such as fluoropolymers, are safe, reliable and involved in ...

Variable Impedance Control for Active Suspension of Off-Road Vehicles on Deformable Terrain Considering Soil Sinkage

open access: yesVibration
Off-road vehicle control designs often neglect the complex tire–soil interactions inherent to soft terrain. This paper proposes a Variable Impedance Control (VIC) strategy integrated with a high-fidelity terramechanics model.

Control System for the Navigation of the Agricultural Robots: A Review

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Control systems for the navigation of autonomous agricultural robots—particularly those operating in uneven terrain and in the presence of static or dynamic obstacles—have advanced considerably in recent years. As conventional machinery evolves toward increasingly automated systems, the design of reliable navigation controllers has become ...

Assessment and improvement of rainfall environment reproduction for climatic wind tunnel

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics
The climatic wind tunnel (CWT) is widely recognised as the optimal experimental environment for studying vehicle rainwater management, while the rainfall field generated by the CWT for vehicles may differ from the natural rainfall patterns.

Construction of an O2‐responsive engineering bioreactor for enhanced indole‐3‐propionic acid production and deoxynivalenol detoxification

open access: yesResponsive Materials, EarlyView.
An oxygen‐responsive living bioreactor was engineered via interspecies protoplast fusion, converting oxygen from an inhibitory stress into a programmable signal for sustained indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) production. This genetically encoded bioreactor enables robust aerobic operation and therapeutic efficacy of deoxynivalenol detoxification in vivo ...

Task co‐use and product improvement: An organization design perspective

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Co‐using tasks—using the same task to produce more than one product—promises economies of scope. However, task co‐use also ties products together, changing a firm's task network by introducing cross‐product interdependencies. In light of these interdependencies, we identify an unrecognized downside of task co‐use for product ...
