The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

CHEMICAL ABUNDANCES AND DUST IN THE HALO PLANETARY NEBULA K648 IN M15: ITS ORIGIN AND EVOLUTION BASED ON AN ANALYSIS OF MULTIWAVELENGTH DATA [PDF]
We report on an investigation of the extremely metal-poor and C-rich planetary nebula (PN) K648 in M15 using the UV to far-infrared data obtained using Subaru, the Hubble Space Telescope, the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer, Spitzer, and Herschel.

Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

The nature of Long-GRB host galaxies from chemical abundances
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are the most energetic events after the Big Bang and they have been observed up to very high redshift. By means of measures of chemical abundances now available for the galaxies hosting such events, thought to originate from the ...

Determining stellar atmospheric parameters and chemical abundances of FGK stars with iSpec [PDF]
Context. An increasing number of high-resolution stellar spectra is available today thanks to many past and ongoing extensive spectroscopic surveys. Consequently, the scientific community needs automatic procedures to derive atmospheric parameters and ...

This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Chemical Abundances in Star-Forming Galaxies at High Redshift
A galaxy's metallicity provides a record of star formation, gas accretion, and gas outflow, and is therefore one of the most informative measurements that can be made at high redshift. It is also one of the most difficult. I review methods of determining

Deriving model-based Te-consistent chemical abundances in ionized gaseous nebulae [PDF]
The derivation of abundances in gaseous nebulae ionised by massive stars using optical collisionally excited emission lines is studied in this work comparing the direct or $T_e$ method with updated grids of photoionisation models covering a wide range of

B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Element Nucleosynthetic Origins from Abundance Spatial Distributions beyond the Milky Way
An element’s astrophysical origin should be reflected in the spatial distribution of its abundance, yielding measurably different spatial distributions for elements with different nucleosynthetic sites.
