Abstract The photoelectrochemical behaviour of polycrystalline CdS and CdSe thin film electrodes prepared by a chemical bath deposition (CBD) method has been examined in an aqueous sulfide—polysulphide electrolyte. Abstract Bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) films were chemically deposited by a novel deposition system in which ammonium citrate was used as the chelating reagent. Two sulfur source thioacetamide (TA) and sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3) were used to prepare Bi2S3 films. Both the as-prepared films have amorphous structure.

Abstract The preparation of Ce doped BiVO 4 coatings on glass, by the thermal treatment of aqueous solutions containing a bismuth (III) ethylenediaminetetra-acetate chelate, vanadium (V) and cerium (III) species, is described here. The influence of cerium content on the colour properties of the coating was investigated.

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD) analyses indicate that unique morphology and structure of the region where precipitation on the substrate may occur in parallel with other regions.
