The solar chemical composition [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2006
We review our current knowledge of the solar chemical composition as determined from photospheric absorption lines. In particular we describe the recent significant revisions of the solar abundances as a result of the application of a time-dependent, 3D hydrodynamical model of the solar atmosphere instead of 1D hydrostatic models.

Measurement report: The effects of SECA regulations on the atmospheric SO2 concentrations in the Baltic Sea, based on long-term observations on the Finnish island, Utö [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
The designation of the Baltic Sea as a sulfur emission control area (SECA) in May 2006, with subsequent tightening of regulations in 2010 and 2015, has reduced the sulfuric emission from shipping traffic.
