Contents of hydrocarbons, phenols, DDT and its metabolites, Cu, Pb, DDD/DDE and DDD+DDE/DDT ratios, and total level of chemical contamination (TPF index) in bottom sediments are traced for 16 stations in the coastal areas at Vladivostok in 1982−2018. The

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

The epidemiology of chemical contaminants of drinking water [PDF]
A number of chemical contaminants have been identified in drinking water. These contaminants reach drinking water supplies from various sources, including municipal and industrial discharges, urban and rural run-off, natural geological formations, drinking water distribution materials and the drinking water treatment process.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Extraction and analysis of pharmaceutical residues in environmental samples using SPE with LC-MS/MS [PDF]
Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) have recently emerged as a significant new class of organic micro-contaminants. Of recent years a number of reports detailing the presence of PPCPs in a variety of environmental matrices and compartments

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
