A plethora of new, magnetic chemically peculiar stars from LAMOST DR4 [PDF]
Context. Magnetic chemically peculiar (mCP) stars are important to astrophysics because their complex atmospheres lend themselves perfectly to the investigation of the interplay between such diverse phenomena as atomic diffusion, magnetic fields, and ...

New magnetic chemically peculiar stars [PDF]
Our observations with the 6-m telescope revealed six new magnetic chemically peculiar (CP) stars among objects with large depressions in the continuum: HDE 293764, BD+17°3622, HD 169887, HDE 231054, HDE 338226, and HDE 343872. The presence of a magnetic field is suspected in several other CP stars.

Horizontal flows in the atmospheres of chemically peculiar stars [PDF]
Classical chemically peculiar stars exhibit atmospheres that are often structured by the effects of atomic diffusion. As a result of these elemental diffusion and horizontal abundance variations, the photospheric temperature varies at a given height in ...

Spectroscopy of a chemically peculair delta scuti-type star: 60 tau
In this study, a detailed spectroscopic analysis of 60 Tau is presented. 60 Tau is a Delta Scuti-type pulsating variable and it is also a metallic-lined (Am) star.

Could the Ultra Metal-poor Stars be Chemically Peculiar and Not Related to the First Stars? [PDF]
Chemically peculiar stars define a class of stars that show unusual elemental abundances due to stellar photospheric effects and not due to natal variations.

Chemically peculiar stars on the pre-main sequence [PDF]
The chemically peculiar (CP) stars of the upper main sequence are defined by spectral peculiarities that indicate unusual elemental abundance patterns in the presence of diffusion in the calm, stellar atmospheres.

The astrophysical parameters of chemically peculiar stars from automatic methods [PDF]
The chemically peculiar (CP) stars of the upper main sequence are excellent astrophysical laboratories for investigating the diffusion, mass loss, rotational mixing, and pulsation in the presence and absence of a stable local magnetic field.
