Biomimetic Chemotactic Motion of Self‐Assembling Doublet Microrobots

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article studies the shape‐dependent chemotaxis of different morphologies including self‐assembled doublet microswimmers that exhibit autonomous movement in hydrogen peroxide H2O2 gradients. Without the need for complex material preparation a novel type of chemotactic active matter is produced, which allows the separation of propulsion and cargo ...

Neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte and monocyte‐to‐lymphocyte ratios as inflammatory markers in the assessment of glycemic status in diabetic patients of Asir region

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and monocyte‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (MLR) were investigated as potential markers. A total of 3545 subjects were included in the analysis retrospectively. Adult men and women with impaired glucose metabolism were assessed. NLR and MLR may help assess inflammation in individuals with impaired glucose metabolism. Abstract

Comparison of the pathogenicity of multiple SARS‐CoV‐2 variants in mouse models

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
We assessed the pathogenicity of various SARS‐CoV‐2 variants using two distinct mouse models. Our findings indicated that earlier variants, including WH‐09, Beta, and Delta, exhibited greater pathogenicity than later variants. Specifically, the Omicron variant demonstrated reduced pathogenicity, characterized by a shorter disease course and diminished ...

Therapeutic targeting of myeloid cells in liver fibrosis: Mechanisms and clinical prospects

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This review systematically summarizes the origin, recruitment, and differentiation regulation mechanisms of myeloid cells in driving hepatic fibrosis progression. By targeting these three critical phases, potential therapeutic strategies for liver fibrosis can be explored.
