High‐Dimensional Analysis of Type 2 Lymphocyte Dynamics During Mepolizumab or Dupilumab Treatment in Severe Asthma

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
We profiled PBMCs in severe asthma patients at baseline and after initiating treatment with mepolizumab or dupilumab. Mepolizumab treatment increases ILC2, Th2, and Tc2 cell frequencies, skewing ILC2 towards CD117low and Th2/Tc2 cells towards a central memory phenotype.

Anti‐PF4 disorders: Pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Anti‐platelet factor 4 (PF4) disorders include heparin‐induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) and vaccine‐induced immune thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (VITT)/VITT‐like disorders. The formation of immunoglobulin G (IgG)/PF4 immune complexes facilitates uncontrolled activation of platelets, neutrophils and monocytes via IgG‐mediated Fcγ receptor binding.

Multi‐pronged analysis of pediatric low‐grade glioma and ganglioglioma reveals a unique tumor microenvironment associated with BRAF alterations

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
A multi pronged analysis approach revealed distinct neoplastic populations in PA and GG. Non‐neoplastic populations in PA showed higher levels of immune mobilizing chemokines in PA compared to GG. Abstract Pediatric low‐grade gliomas (pLGG) comprise 35% of all brain tumors.

The physiological and pathological effects of sphingolipid metabolism and signaling in the central nervous system

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Sphingolipids are vital components of cell membranes. Metabolic disruptions of sphingolipids, including ceramide and sphingosine‐1‐phosphate, are linked to neurological disorders. This article summarizes the classification, structure, and metabolic processes of sphingolipids, and the physiological and pathological effects of sphingolipid metabolism and
