Characterization of Proteins of Chicken Infectious Anemia Virus with Monoclonal Antibodies
Avian Diseases, 1991Eight monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) were developed. These MAbs identified three isolates adapted to grow in the Marek's disease chicken cell line MSB1 (Cux-1, GA-1, and Conn-B) and the chicken-propagated CIA-1 isolate.

Chicken Infectious Anemia in Mexico: Virus Identification and Serology Survey
Avian Diseases, 2001Three chicken infectious anemia (CIA) virus strains were isolated from 10 different sick broiler and replacement chicken flocks with the MDCC-MSB1 cell line. One-day-old specific-pathogen-free chicks were inoculated later, with the three original samples being positive in tissue culture; one induced signs and lesions, another only lesions typical for ...

Full-length infectious clone of an Iranian isolate of chicken anemia virus
Virus Genes, 2016An Iranian field strain of chicken anemia virus (CAV), designated IR CAV, was isolated in the Marek's disease virus-transformed lymphoblastoid cell line MDCC-MSB1 (MSB1) culture for the first time. The full-length CAV DNA of this strain was cloned in the bacterial plasmid pTZ57R/T to create the molecular clone pTZ-CAV.

Molecular Characterization of Chicken Infectious Anemia Virus Circulating in Argentina During 2007
Avian Diseases, 2009Chicken infectious anemia virus (CAV) is a worldwide-distributed infectious agent that affects commercial poultry. Although this agent was first detected in Argentina in 1994, no further studies on CAV in this country were reported after that. The recent increased occurrence of clinical cases of immunosuppression that could be caused by CAV has ...

This is a comparative study on seroconversion to chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) in a closed flock of specific-pathogen-free chickens undergoing a natural outbreak and after vaccination of some of these flocks with a commercial, live vaccine.

Comparative Susceptibility of Marek's Disease Cell Lines to Chicken Infectious Anemia Virus
Avian Diseases, 2000Chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) is known to infect and replicate in various Marek's disease chicken cell lines (MDCCs) derived from Marek's disease (MD) tumors. One line, MDCC-MSB1, has been the substrate used in most studies. We compared a total of 26 MDCCs, including two sublines of MDCC-MSB1, MSB1 (L) and MSB1 (S), four other MD tumor-derived

Chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) DNA in infected cell cultures and chicken tissues was detected using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay. The complete CIAV genome of several strains was amplified in two segments with two sets of primer pairs. The DNA segments of four CIAV strains and full-length Cux-1 strain DNA were cloned.

Effect of Infectious Bursal Disease Virus Infection on Incidence of Anemia by Chicken Anemia Agent
Avian Diseases, 1980SUMMARY Chicks, half of which were inoculated with infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) at 1 day old, were inoculated 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks later with chicken anemia agent (CAA). Chicks inoculated with CAA alone at 2 weeks of age or later did not have anemia.

The present investigation was undertaken to studythe ultra-structural changes in thymus following chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) infectionin chicks. Some thymocytes with electron-dense rings in their nuclei and few thymocytes showing chromatin aggregation were noticed in the cortex region with scarcity of the cells on 7 days post infection (DPI)

Expression of avian immunity genes during infection with chickens anemia virus infectious
Poultry and Chicken Products, 2022Infectious anemia of chickens is a dangerous immunosuppressive viral disease of poultry. When poul- try is infected, this virus causes a significant change in the expression of the main immunity genes (IL8L2, PTGS2, IRF7 and AvBD-11). Based on the obtained results, it was concluded that the expression of the IL8L2 gene increases many times with the ...
