Unveiling the Role of Rumen Microbiome in Modulating Intramuscular Fat Deposition of Pingliang Red Cattle. [PDF]
This study revealed that rumen microbiota significantly influence IMF deposition in Pingliang Red cattle through taxonomic and functional mechanisms. Limosilactobacillus panis and Fibrobacter succinogenes were identified as potential biomarkers for high IMF content.

Improving the Efficiency of Genomic Selection in Chinese Simmental beef cattle [PDF]
Genomic selection is an accurate and efficient method of estimating genetic merits by using high-density genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs).In this study, we investigate an approach to increase the efficiency of genomic prediction by using genome-wide markers.

Rumen Epithelial Transcriptome Analysis Revealed the Regulatory Mechanism of Host Adaptation to Nitrogen Source Replacement Diet in Simmental Cattle. [PDF]
The findings of this study suggest that urea replacement of some soybean meal feeding activates compensatory mechanisms in the rumen epithelium to maintain homeostasis of the organism through dynamic changes in intercellular junctions and adaptive up‐regulation of metabolic pathways.

Effects of polymorphisms in CAPN1 and CAST genes on meat tenderness of Chinese Simmental cattle [PDF]
Considerable evidence has demonstrated that the μ-calpain (CAPN1) gene and its inhibitor calpastatin (CAST) gene are major factors affecting meat quality. Marker-assisted selection (MAS) has been widely used to improve beef quality traits.
