SFC for chiral separations in bioanalysis

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2019
This review covers literature investigating methods for enantioselective chromatography using supercritical fluids as mobile phase constituents (SFC) in the field of bioanalysis. It provides an overview on method development and screening approaches published in scientific literature 2014-2018.

Microchip electrophoresis for chiral separations

ELECTROPHORESIS, 2003
AbstractMicrochip electrophoresis (MCE) is a promising new technique for the separation of enantiomers. This recently introduced technique enables chiral separations to be performed in seconds on tiny micromachined devices. This review is intended to give a brief introduction into the principles of chiral separations with MCE with regard to methodology

Electrokinetic Separation of Chiral Compounds

Science, 1985
Femtomole amounts of racemic mixtures of derivatized amino acids were resolved and analyzed rapidly in about 10 minutes by means of high-voltage zone electrophoresis with laser-fluorescence detection. The electrophoresis was performed in capillary columns containing a chiral support electrolyte.

Unusual effects of separation conditions on chiral separations

Journal of Chromatography A, 2001
Unusual effects in liquid chromatographic separations of enantiomers on chiral stationary phases are reviewed with emphasis on polysaccharide phases. On protein phases and Pirkle phases reversal of the elution order between enantiomers due to variation of temperature and mobile phase composition has been reported.

Screening Approaches for Chiral Separations

2007
The publications of the past 10 years in which generic screening approaches or separation strategies were developed in the field of chiral separations are reviewed. The idea is to give an overview of the different techniques that were used along with the possibilities of performing chiral separations applying these techniques.

The Chiral Separation and Enantioselective Degradation of the Chiral Herbicide Napropamide

Chirality, 2014
ABSTRACTThe chiral pesticide enantiomers often have different toxic effects and environmental behaviors, which suggests that the risk assessments should be on an enantiomeric level. In this work, the chiral separation of the napropamide enantiomers and the stereoselective degradation in tomato, cucumber, rape, cabbage, and soil were investigated ...

Chiral separation in capillary electrophoresis

ELECTROPHORESIS, 1995
AbstractA mathematical model which explains separation in chiral capillary electrophoresis is presented. The model is analysed to give a more general solution than previous work and is supported by further experimental work.
