Investigation of peptoid chiral stationary phases varied in absolute configuration

open access: yes, 2013
Based on chiral N-(1-phenylethyl) glycines, a series of peptoid chiral stationary phases (CSPs) terminated with achiral alkyl group (diisopropyl, t-butyl or n-butyl) and varied in absolute configuration of selector were investigated with nine axially ...

Effects of Temperature and Mobile Phase Condition on Chiral Recognition of Poly(l-phenylalanine) Chiral Stationary Phase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Characteristics of the chiral stationary phase with poly(l-phenylalanine) peptide selector, which was in α-helical state, was reported. Since environmental factors affect peptide conformation, the changes in enantioselectivity were examined depending on ...

Evolutionary, Functional and Mechanistic Characterisation of Microbial Terpene Synthase‐Like Genes From Springtails

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
A genome analysis revealed the presence of many bacterial‐type terpene synthases in springtails. Four enzymes from Sinella curviseta were functionally characterised, resulting in the isolation of several compounds including sinellene ether, the first diterpene ether identified from a terpene synthase that represents a novel skeleton.

Investigations of polysaccharide carbamate-coated chiral stationary phases [PDF]

open access: yes
This thesis describes work carried out in order to increase knowledge concerning the influence of support structure and support surface chemistry on the enantioselectivity of cellulose tris(phenylcarbamate)-coated phases using high-performance liquid ...

Improvement of peptoid chiral stationary phases by modifying the terminal group of selector

open access: yes, 2012
The role of a terminal group of a peptoid selector in a chiral separation was investigated. Six chiral stationary phases (CSPs) with the terminal groups replaced by achiral alkyl groups (n-butyl, t-butyl and diisopropyl) and chiral groups ((1R, 2R)-2 ...

Determination of Enantiomers of Deschloroketamine and Its Metabolites in Wistar Rat Brains. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Sep Sci
Although supercritical fluid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry efficiently resolved deschlorketamine and its metabolites, the parent drug must have been quantified by capillary zone electrophoresis. ABSTRACT Deschloroketamine (DXE) is a dissociative new psychoactive substance whose enantiomers and metabolites may exhibit distinct ...

Stereoretentive Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution Accesses Atropisomeric 4‐Amino‐N‐Arylquinolinium Salts

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Quinolin‐4‐ones were converted to chloroquinolinium salts, allowing formation of axially chiral aminoquinolinium salts via an enantioretentive SNAr reaction with a variety of amine nucleophiles. The salts have a high rotational barrier, with a racemization half‐life of ∼1000s of years.

Chiral Pyrazolinylidene Complexes for Asymmetric Catalysis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The synthesis and application of pyrazolin‐5‐ylidene NHC chiral‐at‐ruthenium catalysts is reported. The strong donating pyrazolin‐5‐ylidene ligands led to highly electron rich ruthenium complexes, which showed excellent catalytic activity and enantioselectivity in the intramolecular aziridination of an alkene.

Achiral Molecular Recognition of Aromatic Position Isomers by Polysaccharide-Based CSPs in Relation to Chiral Recognition

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
Chromatographic separation of several sets of aromatic position isomers on three cellulose- and one amylose-based chiral stationary phases was performed to evaluate the potential of a polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phase (CSP) in the separation ...

Comparison of various chiral stationary phases for the chromatographic separation of chiral pharmaceuticals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Many pharmaceuticals contain active ingredients that have more than one stereoisomer. An important concern is the recognition that these different stereoisomers do not necessarily have identical, or even desirable biological activity.
