Chirp-Based FHSS Receiver with Recursive Symbol Synchronization for Underwater Acoustic Communication

open access: yesSensors, 2018
In this paper, we propose a covert underwater acoustic communication method that is robust to fading using a chirp signal combined with a frequency-hopping spread spectrum scheme.

Integrated Photonic Modulator Circuit With Programmable Intensity and Phase Modulation Response

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A platform‐agnostic programmable modulation circuit is introduced to enable tunable and universal optimization of integrated photonic modulators. By flexibly controlling carrier amplitude and phase, the approach adapts to diverse device characteristics without structural redesign.

Comb‐Driven Coherent Optical Transmitter for Scalable DWDM Interconnects

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A comb‐driven coherent optical transmitter on a Si/SiN platform enables scalable DWDM interconnects by integrating ultra‐compact microring‐assisted modulators and interleavers. High‐baud coherent signaling achieves 400 Gb/s per wavelength and >$>$1 Tb/s multi‐channel transmission, with projected >$>$10 Tb/s per fiber, offering a path toward energy ...

Harnessing Optical Limiting in Saturable Absorbers for Reconfigurable Spectral Engineering of Ultrafast Fiber Lasers

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Optical limiting in a nanomaterial‐polymer saturable absorber is harnessed as a functional intracavity degree of freedom, where pump‐controlled photothermal loss continuously reshapes the gain spectrum of rare‐earth ions, enabling non‐mechanical spectral engineering in an ultrafast fiber laser.

ON THE APPLICABILITY OF THE PHASE SCANNING METHOD IN ANTENNA ARRAYS OF CHIRP PULSE RADARS

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy, 2019
Purpose: Investigation of the space-and-time structure of the output signal of the antenna array (AA) of a chirp pulse radar in dependence on the frequency deviation range of the probe signal and analysis of the applicability condition for the phase ...

Parallel Multi‐Target Detection for Quantum LiDAR

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Parallel multi‐target detection is achieved in quantum LiDAR with a single‐pixel quantum readout. Direction and distance information are extracted together, allowing multiple objects to be distinguished under noisy low‐light conditions and pointing to a new strategy for scan‐free quantum remote sensing.
