Enhanced ALOHA Algorithm for Chirp Spread Spectrum Positioning
2013Location is a key context in the location-based services (LBS) which have been well studied in the domain of pervasive computing. The radio frequency (RF) based positioning plays important role in the LBS applications due to the good resolution, clear identification and low cost.

Multiple Linear Chirp-Based Partial-Band Chirp Jamming for Chirp Spread Spectrum Systems
2019 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2019The conventional noise-based jamming strategy that randomly radiates high power radio frequency signals limits the jamming performance when the bandwidth is spread more widely. Moreover, increasing the jamming bandwidth to deteriorate entire spreading bandwidth reduces the jamming bandwidth efficiency.

Partial-Band Chirp Jamming Scheme for Chirp Spread Spectrum Systems
2019 34th International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers and Communications (ITC-CSCC), 2019In this paper, we propose a partial-band chirp jamming scheme for chirp spread spectrum systems. In order to increase the jamming impacts, the proposed scheme considers cross-correlation coefficients between the transmitted signal and the jamming signal.

Dispersive chirp combining spread-spectrum system
[Proceedings] Singapore ICCS/ISITA `92, 1992Chirp (linear FM) filters are dispersive in nature; that is, the time delay of the filter varies with frequency. This dispersive nature can be exploited to perform dispersive combining of the resolved multipath components. Frequency shiftings are performed on the received multipath signals to compensate for the path delays.

Spread spectrum communications using chirp signals
IEEE/AFCEA EUROCOMM 2000. Information Systems for Enhanced Public Safety and Security (Cat. No.00EX405), 2002We report on the use of broadband chirp signals for spread spectrum systems in indoor applications. The presented system concepts make use of chirp transmission and pulse compression. Different modulation schemes for the chirp signals resulting in different system performance and complexity are compared in terms of bit error rate for the AWGN channel ...

A Spectral Efficiency Enhancement for Chirp Spread Spectrum Downlink Communications
2020 IEEE Latin-American Conference on Communications (LATINCOM), 2020The objective of the paper is to propose a transmitter/receiver system that increases the spectral efficiency in the context of CSS-type downlink communications. For this purpose, we propose to transmit simultaneously on the same time/frequency resources signals intended for several receivers.

MIMO OFDM chirp waveform design with spread spectrum modulation
2014 IEEE China Summit & International Conference on Signal and Information Processing (ChinaSIP), 2014This paper proposes an approach to design orthogonal multiplexing waveform for use of Multiple-input Multiple-output (MIMO) radar. The designed scheme incorporate direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) coding techniques on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) chirp signaling.

A Spread-Spectrum Concept Combining Chirp Modulation and Pseudonoise Coding
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1983This paper investigates the combination of chirp modulation and pseudonoise phase shift keying for spread-spectrum transmission of digital data. Data encoding is accomplished by assignment of positive and negative dispersive slope chirps for binary ones and zeros. Each chirp is then modulated by one period of a PN signature sequence. The performance in

Integrated radar and communications based on chirped spread-spectrum techniques
IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003, 2003Linear frequency modulated (LFM) signals and the associated pulse compression techniques are attractive in applications where highly secure and robust communication is needed. This paper investigates the novel integration of radar and communications utilizing LFM waveforms.
