Chirp Spread Spectrum Performance in Low Probability of Intercept Theater
MILCOM 2018 - 2018 IEEE Military Communications Conference (MILCOM), 2018The Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) theater is a contest between an intended receiver and an intercept receiver. Both receivers need energy for detection. The challenge is to push the signal power below that of the intercept receiver noise floor while keeping it still detectable at the intended receivers.

Chirp spread spectrum as a modulation technique for long range communication
2016 Symposium on Communications and Vehicular Technologies (SCVT), 2016Long range low power is a family of technologies promising to connect thousands of sensors to the future internet of things. Within this family of possible technology choices, two different branches have emerged: the standards based on spreaded wideband communication and the standards based on narrowband communication, both promising to reach long ...

Study of frequency domain equalization for chirp spread spectrum systems
2010 IEEE International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Information Security, 2010Recent research has shown that chirp spread spectrum (CSS) is an attractive technology in broadband wireless communications and the single carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) is widely used in practical applications for its low complexity and high efficiency.

This paper provides a comparative performance analysis of the direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) and the chirp spread spectrum (CSS) for a multi-nodes connectivity over a flat fading channel. The DSSS has strong rejection ability against multi-path propagation interference and has lower power spectral density, while CSS modulated signal is spread ...

Performance of chirp spread spectrum in wireless communication systems
2008 11th IEEE Singapore International Conference on Communication Systems, 2008This paper analyzes the structure and modem scheme of chirp-BOK system. In additive white Gaussian noise channel, an approach of studying the performance of chirp-BOK is presented and the BER-SNR result is evidently improved compared with traditional BOK. Furthermore, the BER of multi-user chirp-BOK system is discussed.
