Immunotoxicity effect of benzo[α]pyrene on scallop Chlamys farreri

Journal of Ocean University of China, 2009
The toxic effects of benzo[α]pyrene (B[α]P) at different concentrations (0.1, 0.5, 1, 2.5 and 7.5 μgL−1) on scallop (Chlamy farreri) immune system were studied. The results showed that B[α]P had significant toxic effects on the haemocyte counts, neutral red uptake, phagocytosis, bacteriolytic and antibacterial activity (P 0.05).

MORPHOLOGICAL AND FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE HEMOCYTES OF THE SCALLOP, CHLAMYS FARRERI

Journal of Shellfish Research, 2005
Light, transmission and scanning electron microscopical studies were carried out to characterize the hemocytes of the scallop Chlamys farreri (Jones & Preston). Five types of hemocytes were recognized: type 1 small hyalinocytes (2.44 +/- 0.11 mu m, 45% to 50%), type 2 large hyalinocytes (4.83 +/- 0.28 mu m, 15-20%), type 3 small granulocytes (4.07 ...

A Population Genetic Analysis of Continuously Selected Chlamys farreri Populations

Journal of Ocean University of China, 2018
This study applied an optimized one-step 2b-RAD library construction strategy and performed simplified genome sequencing of 539 individuals from three continuously selected Chlamys farreri populations. SNP screening was performed using RAD typing software and population genetic parameters for the continuously selected populations from three generations

[Oxygen consumption and ammonia-N excretion rates of Chlamys farreri].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2003
The oxygen consumption and ammonia-N excretion rates of Chlamys farreri were studied from April to June, 1999. The results showed that the oxygen consumption and ammonia-N excretion rates of Chlamys farreri were positively correlated with water temperature, and negatively correlated with its body weight under appropriate temperature conditions.
