The Physiology of Epithelial Chloride Channels
Hospital Practice, 1989These highly regulated channels have a rate-limiting function in secretory activity. Recent research has suggested that the regulation of chloride transport is the likely locus of the defect in cystic fibrosis and has contributed to a fuller understanding of the control of ion channels and their role in fluid and electrolyte balance.
