The effect of sonication on the ion exchange constant, KXBr of CTABr/chlorobenzoates micellar systems [PDF]
The ion exchange constant, KXBr (for the case of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, CTABr, in this study) is a method dependant characterization of ion exchange process by counterions, X and Br with different relative binding ratios. In this report, the ion

Evaluation of 3-Chlorobenzoate 1,2-Dioxygenase Inhibition by 2- and 4-Chlorobenzoate with a Cell-Based Technique. [PDF]
The electrochemical reactor microbial sensor with the Clark oxygen electrode as the transducer was used for investigation of the competition between 3-chlorobenzoate (3-CBA) and its analogues, 2- and 4-chlorobenzoate (2-CBA and 4-CBA), for 3-chlorobenzoate-1,2-dioxygenase (3-CBDO) of Rhodococcus opacus 1CP cells.

Sphingobium fuliginis HC3: a novel and robust isolated biphenyl- and polychlorinated biphenyls-degrading bacterium without dead-end intermediates accumulation. [PDF]
Biphenyl and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are typical environmental pollutants. However, these pollutants are hard to be totally mineralized by environmental microorganisms.

Utilization of chlorobenzoates by microbial populations in sewage [PDF]
Microorganisms in sewage decomposed 3.4-dichlorobenzoate and m-, p-, and o-chlorobenzoates. As the substrate disappeared, populations capable of growing on these compounds proliferated. Neither 2,4-dichlorobenzoate nor 2,3,6-trichlorobenzoate was destroyed by the sewage microflora.
